Most of their ships are built with this in mind and are capable of some degree of underwater operation. However, the Nnaatej is a specialist vessel built specifically for this purpose, shuttling passengers from deep ocean to deep space and back again. It is designed with a denser, pressure-stable hull, built-in maintenance systems, and increased resistance to corrosion and slowing effects. These features come at the cost of making it a heavy and expensive ship for its size, but are considered well worth it to ensure the safety and comfort of its passengers and cargo.
